iPhone Edits: VSCO Presets
Hi again!
Lots of people on Tumblr ask what filters I use to edit my photos, so here are my top 3 favorites! If I have a photo I can't seem to get right, sometimes I'll go through all 40 something of my presets, but these three are some I can always rely on. Let me know what your favorite presets are and if you have any DIY or blog requests!
MY GO-TO: A6
I visit a lot of plant and coffee shops with similar white walled and simple aesthetics, and A6 has been what I use to enhance and brighten up the photo. There's a slight difference between the left and right photo but it brightens the whites a little and brings up the contrast. If it's an overcast day I usually bump up the temperature a few ticks as well.
A6 also looks great with blue scenes, if the lighting is right. Check out all the edits done to make this photo look like it was taken by someone, and not just my iPhone self timer leaning on a bunch of pillows!
THE VINTAGE: A4
This is one of my recent favorite filters that gives a faded tinge to it. I don't use it as often as A6 but I do think in some situations it can add character to the photo.
It also looks good in flash instances, if you're going for a nostalgic feel.
SUNSETS & PINK SKIES: K3
This is definitely a go to for a good sunset or if the photos just don't do justice to the real thing. I use it all the time to make colors pop, although it can be a very vibrant filter. Here's a few examples from Budapest!
Hope this helps a little with using VSCO! Let me know your favorite filters!
